Printelligent Offers HP Edgeline Multifunction Printer in So. California
Printelligent Announces New CEO – Rob WellmanSalt Lake City, Utah — July 31, 2008— Mark Crosby, founder and president of Printelligent, announced the appointment of Printelligent's new CEO - Rob Wellman - and announced an expanded reseller offering into Southern California of HP's Edgeline CM 8060/8050 Multifunction Printer (MFP) with print, copy, fax, and scan functionality, and the industry's most affordable general office color printing - as low as five cents per-page - promising a breakthrough in the high cost of color printing in the office.
Rob Wellman joins Printelligent as CEO with over 20 years of experience in growth strategy implementation for IT companies. Wellman brings strength to the executive management team at Printelligent with previous experience at Novell, Legato (EMC) and Altiris (Symantec). With a focus on retention, growth and execution, Wellman is leading Printelligent's aggressive three-year growth strategy plan to 2010 and beyond. A second announcement indicates Printelligent recently completed stringent requirements in Southern California to offer HP's breakthrough ink technology embodied in the Edgeline Multifunction Printer. Requirements include significant commitments to technical and sales personnel, demonstration devices, and top-level HP business partner status. Printelligent was recently accepted as a charter member of the HP Office Printing Channel Program and named an Office Printing Solutions Elite Partner. Printelligent views its Edgeline MFP offering as a significant strategic tool for optimizing document environments.
HP's Edgeline revolutionary ink-based process greatly improves productivity while lowering the cost of office quality color printing to as low as five cents per page. A unique print-head array results in a very quick print process at 50 to 60 pages per minute. Edgeline allows accent color printing (colorized logo on monochrome printed page) at the same cost as monochrome printing - at about a penny per page. Professional quality color printing on as large as 12" x 18" paper is also available, making Edgeline a viable printer for in-house marketing, sales and operational materials. "The potential savings on Edgeline per-page print rates has turned the heads of our clients, and will absolutely bring more color into today's business practices," said Wellman.
