Once you understand all the functionality inherent in these print devices, you can explore ways to use them to improve workflow and make recommendations for saving time and money.
Scanning Documents
Newer MFPs have a highly adapted digitized scanning capability. Users can scan a document using standardized choices to tailor the output and then determine a distribution (send function) or storage method. Options for output include resolution, color versus black/white, file size, and file types (i.e., PDF, JPG, TIFF, MTIFF, OCR, etc.). Distribution choices include a variety of sending options to locations for storage, retrieval, printing or viewing. The scan and send functions are accomplished right from the user screen on the MFP. In addition, digital sending software and various other technology solutions bring leading edge functionality right to the forefront in managing your documents and your print environment.
The following send functions allow flexibility for the user to distribute scanned documents in a variety of ways to accommodate file access, viewing, sharing, storage, printing, retrieving, editing, graphic conversion and/or character conversion—the possibilities are endless.
- Send-to-Email
- Send-to-Folder
